A skillful barista or dessert maker can cause a curve called a cardioid to form on the surface. Rolling one circle around the outside of a second circle where both have radii of equal length is another way to produce the cardioid (in red below)

The cardioid  has an an arc length of 8 times the smaller circle’s radius and an area of 6 times the smaller radius squared times pi.
